Miracielo is a rum prepared with a recipe found in an old parchment inside a Convent in the legendary city of Santiago de los Caballeros, now known as La Antigua Guatemala: the first city founded in all of Central America. For centuries the convents in Antigua Guatemala have been the cradle of stories and traditions, such as the maceration techniques used in the preparation of preserves and desserts, which were sold to cover the expenses of the convent. Historians of the time say that a nun from the Convent of Santa Teresa had the idea of using what she had learned to create a different type of maceration, not for use in desserts but for something more elaborate: An artisanal liqueur. Miracielo is an endless journey of discovery and legend. Each bottle of our rum is made by hand using ancestral methods, to bring us closer to the magical flavor of La Antigua Guatemala. Miracielo Cafetalero is unique rum what has been a distillate of molasses aged in Ex-American Whiskey casks, Ex-American Whiskey casks with medium toast, where the rum is macerated with vanilla, plums and raisins. Its final finish is achieved with an infusion of the Bourbon variety of coffee from Finca San Sebastián in Antigua Guatemala. Blend of aged rums from 3 to10 years.
